Restoracrete, one of NewLook's Certified Installers in South Orange County, recently overcame a few obstacles to successfully stain a residential driveway.
"We used Light Oak (295) Solid Color Stain on the borders with Creamed Coffee (288) Solid Color Stain on the field. We have recently ran into some rain storms and we had a small window of opportunity to stain this driveway before another storm headed our way. Our initial plan was to make this a two-day project--stain the dark bands and seal them--so we could come in and finish the Creamed Coffee the next day. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about splattering product as much. One of the key factors to our success was slowing down our forward brush strokes; this helped us avoid accidental splatters. We also hand-brushed the edges to reduce this risk. We made sure that our brush strokes were slowed down. We were in a hurry but we realized that slowing down was ultimately the faster way to get the job done. What was the result? We had a very happy repeat customer. Thank you, NewLook!
